SKYLINE PAINTBALL TEAM SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
New Online Sponsorship Program Coming Soon!!!
Skyline Paintball is pleased to offer Team Sponsorship to new and existing tournament and scenario teams.
Sponsorship will help teams offset the expenses and costs involved with building a competitive team. Sponsorship will include discounts with team jerseys, gear, air, field fees and more. Special prices will be worked out for teams interested in purchasing equipment and gear for teammates. Sponsorship will adjust and expand as the team progresses and performs. Keep in mind that most of the major paintball corporations will not directly sponsor any local team, they will refer you to your local store or field. This includes DYE, PMI, National and other major paintball companies. There are some smaller companies that will directly sponsor teams, and you are welcome to seek them out, but keep in mind you may be shooting Brand X paintballs and still just be getting them at a discount. We work with the major companies including those listed above to bring you the best possible price, the latest gear and equipment and the best service around.
Sponsorship will be available to three, five and seven man teams. New teams just starting out will have the advantage of years of experience with teams already sponsored by Skyline Paintball. Come and develop your team and skills while learning in a team friendly environment with experienced players all around to help you. Having a high quality "home" field or base to return to will benefit your team in the long run. Teams will make valuable contacts and meet lots of other tournament players at Skyline. If you are a player without a team, come out and meet the teams and players and find a team you would like to play on. The Skyline Message Board will also be a great tool for Skyline players to keep in contact with other teams and players looking to practice or to sell used gear and equipment.
This is a sponsorship that will benefit the teams while putting a minimum of restrictions and qualifications in place. Teams will be required to practice a minimum of once per month at Skyline Paintball. Teams will be given assistance with selection and printing of team jerseys. Teams will be expected to adhere to a high standard of sportsmanship and behavior while at the Skyline Paintball field or while attending any other field for practice or events. Teams will commit to a minimum of two Skyline Paintball events per year, i.e., Shoot for the Loot© or another major Skyline tournament to be determined. Teams are welcome at all Battle of the Beans Events and can learn as they attend more and more of these sessions. Please note that the Battle of the Beans will not count as a major event or practice.
We know of no other field or store that would offer new and existing teams this remarkable opportunity. Please contact Sue with any questions and to find out how to start your team sponsorship.
Even if we don't sponsor your team, if someone else does sponsor your team, take the time to THANK THEM!!!
Good Luck!!

"Paintball fields are a great potential sponsor for an exchange of services arrangement. Field owners always need workers – whether it is for clearing brush and building bunkers, or refereeing games. For a field owner, if they can get workers without paying out cash in salaries for them, they’ve helped their bottom-line. A fairly common sponsorship arrangement between a paintball field and a team is for the team to provide an agreed upon number of people to work at the field for a set number of hours each month in exchange for not having to pay to use the field for practices, and a discount on buying paint."
A the paragraph above is a brief part of the article "Getting the Hookups - Sponsorship is a two way street" that appeared on the Warpig site. To read the entire article go to http://www.warpig.com/paintball/articles/hookups/index2.shtml
A friend of mine, Josh Silverman, wrote a great article on sponsorship agreements. I have kept it in the sponsorship folder ever since I first read it. If we sponsor your team, you will get a copy of it. Whenever you or one of your teammates gets a chance, take it out and re-read it. It is a great insight into sponsorship from the field/store owner point of view. Below is an excerpt.
"The road to sponsorship is a long one, and it doesn't always end in getting the kind of deals Aftershock, Trauma or Dynasty get. Besides, even those teams didn't get there overnight. They play all the time. Some of the guys on these teams play two or three times EVERY WEEK. They use only the gear that their sponsors provide and they make GREAT billboards for their sponsors. After all, that's all a sponsored team or player is: A billboard for the company that sponsors them. Be the best billboard you can be, and offer the company you want to sponsor you the biggest bang for their buck you can, and you'll eventually get sponsors. Just be sure to spell it right, or the only sponsor you'll ever get is a Wal-Mart coupon for bottles of paintballs."
